Terms of Use
Last updated November 8, 2026
These terms apply to your use of SheetSkill at sheetskill.com (“SheetSkill”, “we”, “us”), developed and run by Jerin George Pallath. By using SheetSkill you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.
1. The service
SheetSkill is a free website for learning and practising spreadsheet skills. It includes exercises, lessons, a practice spreadsheet, a playground, function guides, a blog, badges and leaderboards. We may add, change or remove features at any time, and we may pause the service for maintenance.
2. Accounts
- You can use most of SheetSkill without an account. An account saves your progress and work across devices.
- Give accurate information, keep your password safe, and tell us if you think someone else is using your account.
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian should agree to these terms with you.
- Your username, display name and bio must not be offensive, misleading or impersonate someone else. We may change or remove ones that are.
3. Acceptable use
Please don’t:
- try to break, overload, or get around the security of SheetSkill, or access accounts or data that aren’t yours;
- use bots or scripts to collect content or to inflate scores and leaderboard positions;
- send spam, abusive messages or unlawful content through the contact form, reports or your profile;
- use SheetSkill in a way that breaks the law or harms other people.
We may suspend or remove accounts that break these rules.
4. Your content
The workbooks you create, the files you open and the messages you send remain yours. You give us permission to store and process them only as needed to run SheetSkill for you (for example, saving your work to your account). If you make your profile public, the information you choose to show will be visible to others.
5. Our content
SheetSkill’s lessons, exercises, explanations, design and software belong to SheetSkill. You’re welcome to use them for your own learning, and to share links to them. Please don’t copy or republish large parts of the site without permission.
Microsoft and Excel are trademarks of the Microsoft group of companies. SheetSkill is an independent learning site and is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Microsoft. The practice spreadsheet imitates many Excel features, but it isn’t Excel and some results or behaviour may differ.
6. Learning content and accuracy
We work hard to keep exercises and explanations correct, and some content is written with the help of AI tools and reviewed. Mistakes can still happen. SheetSkill is for learning: please check important work before relying on it, and tell us when something looks wrong.
7. Badges, scores and leaderboards
Badges, levels, scores and leaderboard positions are for motivation only. They have no monetary value, aren’t certifications, and we may reset or adjust them (for example, to correct errors or remove unfair results).
8. Ending your use
You can stop using SheetSkill at any time and ask us to delete your account through the contact page. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
9. No warranty
SheetSkill is provided free of charge, “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don’t promise that the site will always be available, error-free or that saved work will never be lost — please keep your own copies of anything important (you can download any workbook as an .xlsx file).
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SheetSkill and its developer are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits or business, arising from your use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can’t be limited.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top of this page. If you keep using SheetSkill after a change, the new terms apply.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
